“A kaleidoscopic journey” to make you fall (even more) in love with string quartets

Our recording of the opening of Terry Riley’s Salome Dances for Peace is featured in The New York Times list “5 Minutes That Will Make You Love String Quartets!” If you didn’t love them already, check out the five-minute segments these writers and artists chose to make their friends fall in love with the “intimacy, intensity and joy of two violins, a viola and cello.”

Writer Geeta Dayal chose “Anthem of the Great Spirit: The Summons,” Kronos’ opening track for Riley’s two-hour Salome cycle—”an exuberant soundtrack for contemplating peace and harmony on earth.”
