Kronos Quartet will be touring all year! View all venues and dates.
On Sunday, April 30th, from 3 to 6:00 p.m., Kronos will host an intimate afternoon filled with music and inspiration at a private home in Stanford, California, to benefit Fifty for the Future: The Kronos Learning Repertoire. The musical program features Kronos Quartet and two Bay Area-based student ensembles – Dragon String Quartet from Ruth Asawa San Francisco School for the Arts and Claudius Quartet from Young Chamber Musicians – performing recent work commissioned by Kronos’ Fifty for the Future, including West Coast premieres of string quartets by Laurie Anderson and Rhiannon Giddens. After the outdoor concert, enjoy appetizers, drinks, and conversation with the artists, as well as special guests like Joan Jeanrenaud, former longtime Kronos cellist and Fifty for the Future composer, on the grounds of our hosts’ beautifully restored 1914 home.
Tickets are $250. All proceeds benefit Kronos’ Fifty for the Future, a major initiative of the San Francisco-based 501(c)3 nonprofit Kronos Performing Arts Association. Capacity is limited. Please RSVP by April 15, 2017. Contact Mason Dille, Development Manager 415.731.3533, emailRead More
